# How to check if you have the NordLayer application installed

This guide will help you quickly check if the NordLayer application is already installed on your device. Follow the instructions below based on your operating system.

## For Windows

1. Click on the **Search icon** located on the taskbar. (Alternatively, you can press the **Windows key** + **S** on your keyboard to open the search bar.)

1. In the search bar, type in **NordLayer**.

If the NordLayer application appears in the search results, it means the application is installed on your system.

## For macOS

1. Click on the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of your screen to open **Spotlight Search**. (Alternatively, you can press **Command (⌘)** + **Space** to open Spotlight Search.)

1. In the search field, type in **NordLayer**.

If you see NordLayer in the search results, the application is installed on your device.
