# How to retrieve NordLayer app logs for macOS

You can access the logs even if you are not logged into the application:

1. **Right-click on the NordLayer icon** in the status bar
2. Then, select **Activity Log** from the menu.

In case you are unable to perform those steps, connection logs can also be accessed manually.

Regardless of whether you downloaded NordLayer from the App Store or side-loaded it from our website, the logs for the current version can be found at the following unified path:

```
~/Library/Containers/com.nordvpn.macos.teams/Data/Library/Caches/Logs
```

Alternatively, you may:

1. Click the NordLayer icon in the status bar.
2. Click the **?** button at the bottom.
