# How to take a screenshot on iOS?

Taking screenshots on your iPhone is a valuable feature for saving, sharing, and documenting content displayed on your screen.

## Step-by-step guide to taking a screenshot

The method for taking screenshots varies depending on your iPhone model:

### For iPhones with Face ID (iPhone X and later)

1. Simultaneously press and quickly release the **Side** button and **Volume Up** button.
2. Make sure to press both buttons **at the same time** and release them promptly.

### For iPhones with Touch ID (iPhone 8 and earlier)

1. Simultaneously press and quickly release the **Side** button (or **Top** button on older models) and the **Home** button.
2. Press both buttons together and release them immediately.

Once you've captured your screen, a preview thumbnail will appear in the bottom-left corner.

## How to find your screenshots later?

To find your screenshots later:

1. Open the **Photos** app
2. Tap **Albums**
3. Scroll down to **Media Types**
4. Tap **Screenshots** to view all captured images

iOS can also analyze your screenshots to interact with text, search for similar images, and provide relevant information about captured content.
