How to activate the Smart remote access feature

Smart remote access helps users create a virtual LAN (Local Area Network) in order to access remote devices on the internal network. It uses the internet to create a secure connection between devices to allow server and system access, remote device access (point to point), file sharing, RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol), and more.

In order to use Smart remote access, you’ll first need to have a gateway with a dedicated server. To learn more about setting up a gateway with a dedicated server, read more.

To centrally enable this feature for your entire organization, log in to your Control Panel on the web. Then in Settings, go to the Security configurations tab and under Smart Remote Access click Add gateway. Next you’ll be asked to choose an eligible gateway (with a dedicated server) and click Enable. When enabled, it will activate this feature for everyone in your organization.

Once this is done, a local network (LAN) will be created between all the devices connected to the same private gateway.
