Taking screenshots on your iPhone is a valuable feature for saving, sharing, and documenting content displayed on your screen.

Step-by-step guide to taking a screenshot

The method for taking screenshots varies depending on your iPhone model:

For iPhones with Face ID (iPhone X and later)

  1. Simultaneously press and quickly release the Side button and Volume Up button.
  2. Make sure to press both buttons at the same time and release them promptly.

For iPhones with Touch ID (iPhone 8 and earlier)

  1. Simultaneously press and quickly release the Side button (or Top button on older models) and the Home button.
  2. Press both buttons together and release them immediately.

Once you've captured your screen, a preview thumbnail will appear in the bottom-left corner.

How to find your screenshots later?

To find your screenshots later:

  1. Open the Photos app
  2. Tap Albums
  3. Scroll down to Media Types
  4. Tap Screenshots to view all captured images

iOS can also analyze your screenshots to interact with text, search for similar images, and provide relevant information about captured content.
