This guide will show you how to set up the NordBrowser application on macOS. It requires macOS 12 (Monterey) or a newer version, and is not compatible with Intel-based Macs.
Choosing your installer
NordBrowser is available for macOS as several distributables, so you can pick the one that best fits your situation:
- DMG installer – a standard disk image containing the application. This is the default option linked on the download page and is recommended for most users.
- PKG package – a full installer package intended for managed deployments.
By default, the macOS download links point to the DMG installer. If you need one of the other installers, you can request it from the full list of available downloads.
Downloading and installing
You can download the application from the Downloads page or the NordLayer Control Panel.
- Navigate to your Downloads folder in Finder and double-click the
NordBrowser.pkgfile. - An installation window will appear. You will be guided through all the necessary steps to complete the NordBrowser installation.
Setting up the application

After the installation is complete, open the Launchpad and click on the NordBrowser icon.

Enter your Organization ID. You can find this in the invitation email you received.

Log in to your account. NordBrowser supports Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing you to use your existing credentials from services such as:
- Entra ID
- Google SSO
- JumpCloud
- Okta
- OneLogin
Once you confirm your identity, NordBrowser will open, and you can begin browsing securely. No additional setup is required.
