Screenshots are a useful way to capture your screen for troubleshooting various issues. Once captured, you can easily view, edit, and share the image or video.

Step-by-step guide to taking a screenshot

Follow these steps to capture your Android screen:

  1. Open the app, webpage, or content you want to capture.
  2. Depending on your phone:
    1. Simultaneously press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button. Hold both buttons for 1-2 seconds until you see a flash or hear a capture sound
    2. If the button combination doesn't work, press and hold the Power button for several seconds. When the power menu appears, tap Screenshot.
    3. Some devices offer alternative methods like palm swipe or three-finger tap. Check your device manufacturer's support documentation for additional options.

Once you've successfully captured your screen:

  • A preview thumbnail will appear in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
  • On some devices, you may see a Screenshot captured notification at the top.
  • The screenshot is automatically saved to your device's gallery or photos app.
