Extension forcelist
We've introduced the extension forcelist policy for NordLayer Browser, giving administrators ability to automatically deploy and pin specific browser extensions across their organization. Extensions added to the forcelist are installed silently in the background and cannot be removed or disabled by end users, ensuring a consistent, administrator-defined browser environment.
These controls help organizations reduce shadow IT and maintain a secure browsing environment without requiring any manual action from end users.

Troubleshoot assistant
We've added a built-in way to diagnose connection issues. You'll find the new troubleshoot assistant option in the drop-down menu under the three dots in the top-right corner. Selecting it opens a pop-up that runs a set of basic connectivity tests and generates a report.
2FA setup during login
You can now set up two-factor authentication directly in the NordLayer Browser login modal. Keeping everything in one flow means a faster first sign-in, fewer support questions, and more users completing 2FA setup instead of postponing it.

Extension policies
Organization administrators can now manage which Chrome Web Store extensions are available directly within NordLayer Browser. This means your browser environment comes ready to go, with the right tools in place and unnecessary or risky extensions kept out.
When you open NordLayer Browser, the extensions your administrator has approved for your team are already available for you to use. This removes the friction of setting up your workspace, allowing you to focus on the tasks at hand.

Touch ID support for NordPass
NordBrowser now supports Touch ID authentication for NordPass, enabling a faster and more convenient way to unlock your vault. To enable it, set up the NordPass extension, navigate to NordPass Settings > Security, and enable Unlock with Touch ID.
This release also includes important security patches that address identified vulnerabilities and strengthen NordBrowser's overall security. We recommend all users update to the latest version.

This secure browser simplifies network access with integrated NordLayer connectivity, offering a seamless browsing experience . Administrators can now implement granular routing policies, allowing traffic to be routed through a VPN gateway, directly to the internet, or blocked entirely based on team-specific rules . NordBrowser also comes equipped with essential security features, including DNS filtering, an application blocker, Custom DNS support, and web protection .
Existing NordLayer customers can apply for early access via the banner in the NordLayer Control Panel.
